Fritz & Fräulein’s Mission: We believe in changing the story of how products are made. Conscious production – not mass production. Sustainably handmade in the USA. We start with using beautiful vintage, reclaimed and sustainable materials that each have their own unique history and story to share. We take those materials and design them into high quality, functional goods – right here in New York. Our accessories not only positively impact the planet and our economy, but improve the way you live (and we wouldn’t have it any other way). Our Story: The company was founded in Brooklyn, New York by Stacy Hauger in 2012, born out of her love for all things vintage combined with her personal passion for sustainability and formal training in design. In Stacy’s travels, she comes across gorgeous buttery leather, inspiring vintage and sustainable fabrics, uniforms and various finds that have their own unique history that are reminders of a special place, person or time. With every piece, she decides how best to give them new life so their story can evolve and continue with you. Because of the nature of the materials we work with, every piece we create is truly one-of-a-kind with exceptional attention to design, detail and quality.
We start with some of the softest, highest quality leather in the world. This leather is often paired with beautiful vintage, reclaimed and sustainable materials that each have their own unique history and story to share. We pass along these stories by designing them into functional, modern accessories including clutches, crossbody purses, toiletry bags, totes, Weekender bags & card cases. Our accessories not only positively impact the planet and our economy, but improve the way you live (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).
Our ultimate goal is to pass along a bit of history through these pieces while enriching people’s lives with function and great design. We hope you enjoy our accessories as much as we love discovering and (re)creating them for you.
Where did our name come from?: It’s a tribute to Stacy’s German heritage and inspiring and hardworking Great Grandfather, Fritz, who lived to be 103. Fritz always said the key to a long, successful and healthy life is to live positively, passionately, fiercely love what you do and those who support you in your life’s adventures. She injects this ethos everyday while growing Fritz & Fräulein.
